CMU: Sala Angkeaw Rally Chiang Mai, Thailand

Pro-democracy group ‘Community of MorChor’ hosted a rally at Chiang Mai University’s Sala Angkeaw. Students and supporters joined the community in song, speech and spoken word. From 4pm until around 8:30pm pro-democracy, LGBT and sex-worker-rights supporters participated in the activities. Chiang Mai’s performance group ‘Lanyim’ demonstrated expressions throughout the evening. Free food and drink was offered along with donation sales of tee-shirts, stickers and other protest merchandise. Police were minimal and remained outside the facilities.
