Hundreds of LGBT Pride marchers took to the street of Chiang Mai, Thailand to celebrate and promote dignity, equality and increased visibility as a social group. The Pride march began near Nawarat Bridge around 6PM and concluded at Tha Phae Gate. Singing, dancing and a gay marriage took place as locals and tourists alike looked on from shop windows and sidewalks. Same sex marriage is still illegal in Thailand as of 2022.
